When you use JoMa's Baby Namer, we create a unique session for you and your partner. This session stores the names you interact with and the ratings you provide (Love it, Maybe, Nope). We do not require or store personal email addresses or other directly identifiable information to create or participate in a session. Your session is identified by a unique link.
The information collected is solely used to provide the core functionality of the app: to allow you and your partner to rate names and see which names you both like. We may also use anonymized and aggregated data (meaning it cannot be traced back to any individual session) to understand usage patterns and improve our service, for example, by identifying popular names or features.
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your session data or rated names to outside parties. Your name ratings are only shared with your partner through the unique session link. Aggregated and anonymized data may be used for analytical purposes as described above, but this will not include any personally identifiable information.
We take reasonable measures to protect the information stored in your session. However, please remember that no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your session data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. Keep your unique session link confidential to protect your session.
Your session data, including rated names, is retained as long as your session is active. We may periodically purge inactive sessions after a certain period of inactivity (e.g., 90 days) to manage our database. We will endeavor to provide notice if such a policy is implemented.
Since we do not collect personally identifiable information like email addresses, your main point of control is your unique session link. If you lose this link, you may lose access to your session. If you wish for your session data to be deleted, please contact us, and we will do our best to accommodate your request, though we may need to verify your ownership of the session if possible.
